haven't posted in a while

school is keeping me very busy...

my house seems like its never clean..

I'm very excited for Spring..

And I LOVE my hubby soo soo much.

life is crazy but I wouldn't change it for anything.

updates..

I haven't posted in a while... so here's a few updates


We found that our water line had broke on Saturday. We shut off all the water for a couple hours while we tried to find where it was leaking from. and just those few hours, I missed being able to wash my hands! I never realized how much I use water every day until it was taken away. It was hard knowing i only had ONE time to flush the toilet and we didn't know how long until the water was back on. We found the leak but didn't know what to do from there... so we had to call my dad. He's the only one we knew that works on that kind of stuff. It was pretty awkward but I'm very grateful he was so willing to come help. He made a makeshift thing so we had water for the rest of the weekend and he came back all day Monday and Tuesday while we were at work and finished fixing everything. It ended up have 2 leaks but it should all be fixed now. You'd think we would have noticed we had a huge leak by our water bill... but we didn't. its automatic payment so i didnt pay attention to it. We looked it up, it must have started in August and we used about 80,000 gallons of water EACH month since. We have 2 large mounds of dirt in our front yard where my dad filled the holes back in. we just have to fix that and our water leak disaster should be all taken care of.

Other things that have been going on with us...Austin and I have both signed up for classes at UVU. it's took forever but hopefully we have all the paper work in that we need to enroll and for financial aid. I forgot how much time it took to do all those little things and how frustrating it can be. Austin signed up for a class with Kurt which should be really fun for him. The teacher is supposed to love showing the History channel and bringing in his guns to class. He should get along with Auz just fine! I signed up for an accounting class, i'm pretty excited. I need to work up the nerve to ask my boss if they do any kind of tuition reimbursement because i'm taking classes related to my job. My boss is pretty scary! Always very..professional, just very intimidating. I need to sign up for another class but I can't decide which one. I need to take Ethics & Values but I honestly have no idea what that class is about. I tried to sign up for the next math class I need to take but its BARELY been too long, i have to test again! I can't decide what to do! If we would have signed up for this Fall semester, i would have been fine. OH WELL.

I get my wisdom teeth taken out Thursday... random story to go along with that: I got a call from the anesthesiologist (did I spell that right?) today, he left me a voice mail saying "This is so & so, I'll be your anesthesiologist on Thursday, i just wanted to call and see if you had any questions and let you know what will be going on, will you please call me back at this number... and oh if i answer so & so mortuary don't be alarmed. Me and my wife also work for a Mortuary."
KIND OF CREEPY!!! he is an anesthesiologist and works for a mortuary! :S weird. After talking to him i felt better, he's done anesthesiology for over 45 years and talked very highly of my doctor/dentist. I hope all goes well! i am pretty nervous

bummer..

We just found out Austin doesn't get his GI bill to pay for his college education

we signed up a couple weeks ago, thinking it'd pay for all his school and hoping we'd start in January. Today we got a letter back from the Air Force saying he has to be "active reserve" to qualify, as of December last year he became "inactive ready reserve" so now he gets NO money for school. He had no idea, neither did I.

big time bummer. :(

Happy birthday!

August has many birthdays; my sis Tina, a few friends, and lots on the parks side--Oliver, kelsey, Jody, tawny, tucson, and Voilet and mine on the same day. But on the 8th of this month was marley's one year birthday! She is our little baby and we love her so much

he's a keeper

we went riding the 4wheelers the other day, it was dirty & so much fun.

I love this man so much... i am so lucky he picked me :) I never thought I'd marry a man that loved guns, a hunter and camping so much... but I can't get enough of him! we went shooting on Monday with our brother in law Brian, i had a blast the whole time, just listening to them! I even shot Austin's new AR and his hand gun. I am so happy I'm a camping, getting dirty, gun shooting girl... I love everything about my hubby & being with him for eternity.

one year!

We have been married one year today! it's crazy how fast it's went by, but BY FAR the best year of my life! As Ella would say "I'm glad Austin married you" I'm very glad you married me Auz. I love you so much! You're the best thing to ever happen to me and i can't wait to spend the rest of forever with you.

good news

My mom and dad went to a councilor this week. I really really hope and pray that things can start getting better. I'm really proud of them for going. I gotta keep being patient and see how it turns out.

moab!

here's just a few random pictures from our Moab trip. It was a blast and we didn't even break anything! We went with Cortney and his fam. they are a cute little family. He took these awesome pictures.


here is our camp site. we camped the 2nd night there, the first night we couldn't find any open camping spots so we got a hotel. It rained really hard Saturday night but our tent kept us nice and dry so it turned out good. Our hotel was really nice too.

Cortney's jeep is the black one, it's pretty sweet. Austin's is the red jeep.. it's also pretty awesome. We love going out in it & it runs really well. double plus!

What a good looking guy. I think i'll keep him. :)

I'm not going to lie, there was a few places that Austin drove up/down that FREAKED me out. I had to get out and walk up

the worst part is

feeling a migraine coming and no matter what you do, you can't make it stop.

I woke up Saturday with a headache, one of those kind that you get right before a migraine hits, then my thumb and pointer finger went numb. It felt like how your face feels after you've been to the dentist, completely numb and tingly. I knew it was coming fast.

I took some pills & Austin hurried and made me breakfast, if i waited even 5 minutes longer i would have been too nauseated to eat. Then it hit; I laid on the couch as Austin rubbed my head, trying to make me feel better. I couldn't move. If i did my head would throb and then i felt like i would puke. It was not fun at all.

I got out of bed at like 3 o'clock, Austin had worked so hard getting stuff around the house done. He is so good. He even took me to walmart around midnight and bought me Twillight and junk food, we stayed up til 2 in the morning watching it. I am going to keep him :)

I woke up today with that same headache again, not so fun.

Pergola

That's right, we got a pergola! I honestly didn't know that is what they were called until this weekend when we purchased one for our backyard.

I think it was a 3 man job to put it together.. but me & Auz tried to do it all ourselves. We put it up Saturday evening, that's when the wind started to blow. It fell over like 7 times before we finally figured out how Austin could to hurry and assemble it while i stood on a chair holding it from falling over. We finally got the hard part done right when some friends came over and helped.

It looks really nice with our patio set and fits perfect on our cement pad. We also got this cute chandelier that hangs from the middle.. oh so romantic!

Now only if it would warm back up so we could go outside!

Who's ready to come over for a BBQ? Austin is AMAZING at grilling! One of the million reasons i love him

I know I'm well over a month late, but our computer is finally working that i can post these! I came home from work and this is what i found! it was my valentine's day present! beautiful flowers and the chandelier! we used to have this old gross ceiling fan over our dining room table, Austin installed this fancy new one for me & surprised me when i got home! Best present, stuff done around the house :) he's the best!

And this was Austin's Valentine... well not really. When we filed our taxes and found out how much our return would be Austin started thinking of what he could spend that money on... he saw this TV at costco... and if you know austin, you know how if he sets his mind on something... there is NO way talking him out of it. So as my present to him, i just gave him permission to go buy it.

He was so happy at costco! when he is happy, i am happy.

It was so much work to hang a 55' TV on our wall, we have cinderblock walls (our house was built in the 50's) so we had to drill huge holes to put the mount on. All night we listened really close if it was going to fall down, thank goodness it didn't.

It is lots of fun to watch movies on. Austin sure is spoiled.

Random thoughts

Here's what is running through my head at the moment...

-cow tails are fantastic--thanks for getting us some mom!

-last night i had this crazy dream i had a little baby boy. He was adorable to me but he was kind of ugly because he was just born. it was strange. maybe its a sign I'm prego... or that Ruth is prego!!

-Erin inspired me to get lots done around the house, last night i got all my grocery shopping done! i made a list of some meals & got everything for it. i LOVE having lots of food at home. I cleaned out my fridge, put all the groceries away and cleaned the kitchen! (all but mopping the floor) I love having a clean house!

-we also went to Costco & got fresh flowers, we are going to try to get fresh flowers every month, it makes the house feel so fresh and springy!

- i heard that if you put apple cider vinegar in your flower water it will

help keep them fresh. I bought some last night but it rolled out the car

on to the cement & broke. i ran inside and put what i could save into

another bottle, but while i was doing that i got it on my Hydra Coach-it's a sweet water bottle Austin got me that keeps track of

how much i drink so i don't get migraines! anyway, even though i washed my bottle i can still smell the vinegar on it when i drink. it makes me want to throw up.

-i had such a fun weekend with my hubby! we cleaned so good--we got rid of all our old stuff & the boxes they were in! Austin has lived there a year and I've lived there 10 months but we still had boxes of stuff! it's like we are officially moved in now! ha ha! we love our house though! I especially love it when its all clean :) We also took Marley up to Rock Canyon... she LOVED it and we love hiking.. when we were coming down we heard this really loud sound, looked up and there was some guys cliff jumping, it was the parachute opening, they landed right next to us--in the trees. Marley was spazzing out, it was hilarious--she could see the people in the air but couldn't figure out what they were doing, plus they were so close to us she didn't know what to do with herself. it was a pretty exciting hike.

-stuffing paycheck stubs in envelopes is probably my least favorite part of my job. i have like 6 paper cuts already. ouch!

-i have a few pictures to blog about but i put them on austin's computer... his cord died and eventually the laptop died too. we have a new cord ordered but its not here yet. as soon as it is i will post my pictures.

Mesquite

Last weekend we went to Mesquite, it was so much fun!! it was a much needed break for me. We stayed down there for 2 night for free thanks to Austin's new job. it was about 63 degrees, SOOO nice! we drove around with the sunroof open & windows down, the perfect getaway weather. We gambled our free $5 and lost it instantly so we decided to go to the arcade, here's my super hot hubby playing a sweet old western shooting game, winning tickets to get me a prize! We also went bowling and took a nap. The perfect little get away.

housework

Have I ever mentioned how adorable my husband is? I seriously have the best hubby ever. Last week I said we need to mop the floor, I HATE mopping, i'd rather scrub the toilet then mop the floor. 24 was about to come on so we wanted to wait a while & let it record so we could fast forward thru the commercials, so he said lets mop! What a sweet guy. I'm kind of embarrassed to admit it, but the last time I used my mop and bucket, there was no snow outside. (i've used a rag here & there but not full on mop & bucket) I had left them outside on our table. Austin went and put on his rubber boots tromping thru the snow trying to find them. They were frozen to the table! So we couldn't use a mop and bucket. He filled up the sink & put the rags under his feet and scooted along washing the floor for me-that's the 2nd to last picture. The last picture is of us on our hands and knees mopping. He is so cute, I am going to keep him :)

Happiness..

having a baby

We could be having a baby right now! We have been married 9 months today! Time really flies by when you are having fun. The past 9 months have been the best time of my life! I am not pregnant by the way...
I couldn't ask for a better a husband! The past 2 weeks have been really emotionally hard for me, my dad has made some really stupid choices that has hurt my family. I have cried almost every night, the hardest part is trying to not be extremely angry at my dad. Austin has been the best support, I have fell even more in love with him going thru this trial and am soo greatful for the power of the priesthood he holds. Thanks for everything auz, you are my everything. I love you!!

Work

Ken Garff Audi had a competition the day before Christmas, whoever came showing the most Christmas spirit would win a $300 R C Willey gift card, my friend Ruth has been wanting a couch for quite some time and winning would be perfect for her. I don't think i got any work done that day, I keep looking over at her laughing, she won hands down! a few people wore Christmas shirts and one salesman wore a Santa hat. It was so funny. She is such a good sport. Speaking of Ruth & my job... her last day will be Feb 6th, I'm really sad she is going, but really jealous too! She has been such a good friend, we talk thru our little cubicles all day long. But we have both wanted a new job for a long time. I just applied for the perfect job the other day, its with Orem City in accounting, it'd be 5 hours a day and I'd make as much as i do now! I need a change so bad, my current job is just draggin me down. This job sounds awesome, it's work I like to do and the pay is right. I really hope and pray I get it! Or even if its not that one, that I can find one soon before I drive Austin insane. Poor guy has to put up with me when I get home & I'm in my bad moods, he's such a good husband, he always takes such good care of me. Any way I really hope Ruth finds an awesome new job in Lehi! One that doesn't suck so bad! We decided we are going to do a 5K together in the summer! I am really excited to do it! I better start running!

Presents

This picture didn't turn out very well, of course my battery was dying Christmas morning so i didn't get many pictures and the ones i did get i had to take really fast before it shut down.

I was so excited to give Austin his present, I almost spilled the beans before I was so excited. I need to learn how to keep secrets better. I've been refusing to buy an xbox for months and months, so when i gave it to him it was a big surprise. Now I just need to learn how to get him to stop playing the xbox!
