the worst part is

feeling a migraine coming and no matter what you do, you can't make it stop.

I woke up Saturday with a headache, one of those kind that you get right before a migraine hits, then my thumb and pointer finger went numb. It felt like how your face feels after you've been to the dentist, completely numb and tingly. I knew it was coming fast.

I took some pills & Austin hurried and made me breakfast, if i waited even 5 minutes longer i would have been too nauseated to eat. Then it hit; I laid on the couch as Austin rubbed my head, trying to make me feel better. I couldn't move. If i did my head would throb and then i felt like i would puke. It was not fun at all.

I got out of bed at like 3 o'clock, Austin had worked so hard getting stuff around the house done. He is so good. He even took me to walmart around midnight and bought me Twillight and junk food, we stayed up til 2 in the morning watching it. I am going to keep him :)

I woke up today with that same headache again, not so fun.

Pergola

That's right, we got a pergola! I honestly didn't know that is what they were called until this weekend when we purchased one for our backyard.

I think it was a 3 man job to put it together.. but me & Auz tried to do it all ourselves. We put it up Saturday evening, that's when the wind started to blow. It fell over like 7 times before we finally figured out how Austin could to hurry and assemble it while i stood on a chair holding it from falling over. We finally got the hard part done right when some friends came over and helped.

It looks really nice with our patio set and fits perfect on our cement pad. We also got this cute chandelier that hangs from the middle.. oh so romantic!

Now only if it would warm back up so we could go outside!

Who's ready to come over for a BBQ? Austin is AMAZING at grilling! One of the million reasons i love him

I know I'm well over a month late, but our computer is finally working that i can post these! I came home from work and this is what i found! it was my valentine's day present! beautiful flowers and the chandelier! we used to have this old gross ceiling fan over our dining room table, Austin installed this fancy new one for me & surprised me when i got home! Best present, stuff done around the house :) he's the best!

And this was Austin's Valentine... well not really. When we filed our taxes and found out how much our return would be Austin started thinking of what he could spend that money on... he saw this TV at costco... and if you know austin, you know how if he sets his mind on something... there is NO way talking him out of it. So as my present to him, i just gave him permission to go buy it.

He was so happy at costco! when he is happy, i am happy.

It was so much work to hang a 55' TV on our wall, we have cinderblock walls (our house was built in the 50's) so we had to drill huge holes to put the mount on. All night we listened really close if it was going to fall down, thank goodness it didn't.

It is lots of fun to watch movies on. Austin sure is spoiled.

Random thoughts

Here's what is running through my head at the moment...

-cow tails are fantastic--thanks for getting us some mom!

-last night i had this crazy dream i had a little baby boy. He was adorable to me but he was kind of ugly because he was just born. it was strange. maybe its a sign I'm prego... or that Ruth is prego!!

-Erin inspired me to get lots done around the house, last night i got all my grocery shopping done! i made a list of some meals & got everything for it. i LOVE having lots of food at home. I cleaned out my fridge, put all the groceries away and cleaned the kitchen! (all but mopping the floor) I love having a clean house!

-we also went to Costco & got fresh flowers, we are going to try to get fresh flowers every month, it makes the house feel so fresh and springy!

- i heard that if you put apple cider vinegar in your flower water it will

help keep them fresh. I bought some last night but it rolled out the car

on to the cement & broke. i ran inside and put what i could save into

another bottle, but while i was doing that i got it on my Hydra Coach-it's a sweet water bottle Austin got me that keeps track of

how much i drink so i don't get migraines! anyway, even though i washed my bottle i can still smell the vinegar on it when i drink. it makes me want to throw up.

-i had such a fun weekend with my hubby! we cleaned so good--we got rid of all our old stuff & the boxes they were in! Austin has lived there a year and I've lived there 10 months but we still had boxes of stuff! it's like we are officially moved in now! ha ha! we love our house though! I especially love it when its all clean :) We also took Marley up to Rock Canyon... she LOVED it and we love hiking.. when we were coming down we heard this really loud sound, looked up and there was some guys cliff jumping, it was the parachute opening, they landed right next to us--in the trees. Marley was spazzing out, it was hilarious--she could see the people in the air but couldn't figure out what they were doing, plus they were so close to us she didn't know what to do with herself. it was a pretty exciting hike.

-stuffing paycheck stubs in envelopes is probably my least favorite part of my job. i have like 6 paper cuts already. ouch!

-i have a few pictures to blog about but i put them on austin's computer... his cord died and eventually the laptop died too. we have a new cord ordered but its not here yet. as soon as it is i will post my pictures.
