a day late & a dollar short

I am way slow posting this, sorry Erin... I haven't forgot about it I just haven't thought of 6 quirks about me, since I'm so perfect and all... right...

The rules are:

1. I can't go to sleep if the closet doors are open, it's like the boogy man will come out and get me if they are left open. Austin is getting really good at getting out of bed for me to shut them.

2. I have a routine before i can go to sleep, i have to first take out my contact, second wash my face and third brush my teeth. I try to skip doing them sometimes and no matter how tired i am i just lay there in bed and can't fall asleep until I've done all 3.

3. I don't like the A/C in the car blowing on me, i always have my vent turned off. I think it makes me too cold too fast.

4. I wash my desk a lot, i don't like it when you can see little finger prints on my desk. Too many weird and dirty people work at Ken Garff and come touch my desk.

5. I can't type your if I'm not concentrating, i always type yoru first.

6. I'm not a big fan of loud noise, and Austin LOVES to be as noisy as possible. It makes go crazy some times. I am a quiet little girl, quite the opposite of noisy little boy Austin. (but I still love him!)

back on track

Austin got a new job, he's now a Cedar Hills city employee working at the golf course as their mechanic. It's a big relief knowing he has a job again. He's been working really hard and likes it so far. Best part is since he's a city employee he gets AWESOME benefits. I'm proud of him for working so hard to provide for his family :) I hope all his buddies from Sleepy Ridge find a good job soon! He just got his first paycheck and wants to get a new xbox 360.... I don't know about that... I gave him the okay tonight & he hasn't got it. Will he?!?

the end of an era...

In case you haven't heard Austin along with his bosses, Brian & Cortney, were laid off on Tuesday. Golden, the owner of the golf course, is going to try to run the golf course maintenance out of his landscape company in order to save money. It was a shock to all of us, they didn't give them any warning, called them into the pro shop and said it was their last day. If Golden thinks this is going to work, he's crazy. The rest of the guys at the course that know anything about anything down there we not loyal to the golf course but to Brian & Cortney and when Golden so cruelly canned them, the following day, 4 more guys quit on the spot & didn't show up for work. So Golden lost the only 7 people that know anything about maintaining the golf course. It'll be interesting to see what will happen at Sleepy Ridge. It's sad to lose such a fun job with so many fun people but they were all pretty under paid and it may work out better in the long run. Austin has a very good possibility to work for a different course near by with Brian as the assistant superintendent. We are crossing our fingers that it'll all work out!

Air Force Austin

Last Sunday, October 4th was his last day in the Air Force! It's crazy to think he won't be "Air Force Austin" anymore, but I am SO relieved! I'm very proud of him for serving his country, but i'm glad he is done! The world is getting too crazy, I'd rather him be home protecting his family. I love him more then anything, I can't imagine being months without him! Thanks for all you do baby! I love you!

Vegas trip!!

This last weekend we went to Vegas with our friends Clint & Jenny, it was so nice to get away! it was even fun driving there!

About half way to St. George there is this hot spring in a town called Meadow, my dad knows about every hot spring this side of the United States & loves going so I've been to it a few times. Jenny was freaked out by it but Clint and Austin had a blast. They even put their swim suits on and jumped in.

*I am getting Austin some of those boots for Christmas, dang that's hot!! haha

The drive there was probably the best part for me, we had stopped in St. George at the new In & Out burger and started on our way again, Clint fell asleep in the car & was snoring pretty loud so I told Jenny to put some salt in his mouth, I honestly didn't think she would but oh no she did. Good thing In & Out gives little packets of salt with their fries! Some of the pictures are pretty bad because i was laughing so dang hard I couldn't hold the camera still to take the picture!!

I did get more pictures but I dont have time right now to put them up! I'll try to do that tomorrow!

our puppy can swim!!

this was a couple weeks back but we took Marley to Utah Lake to see if she'd swim. She was so stinkin cute!! she was very nervous but still tried it! She'll do anything her daddy tells her to do.
